Diagnostic test for a recurrence?

Just read this article:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/02/25/single-blood-test-picks-prostate-cancer-100-per-cent-cases/

Anyone know if it is effective at diagnosing a recurrence?

Franci, I did manage to bypass the free trial bit to read the article. It did flag up alot of questions. Does it only detect biomarkers in tumors ? How many cells make a tumor ?

Thanks Chris

It says it detects malignant cells in the blood (even for "localised disease" which fits in with what my Urologist told me once that "all tumours throw off cells all the time, but usually your immune system Hoover's them up".

Getting beyond the free trial part allowed me to read the whole article. Indeed, it raised many inquiries. Can it identify biomarkers outside of tumors as well?
