I recently underwnt a succesful radical prostectomy with a negligable follow up PSA. My regular holiday insurer wants to increase my annual holiday insurance from £270 to in excess of £1400. Can anyone reccomend a decent company that understands the surgery and is reasonable?

Try "insurancewith.com". They are specialists in insuring people in this kind of situation.

All the best,

Also try having it excluded from your policy - I do that with M&S (my wife and I do with a range of conditions), it's not as having had prostate cancer treatment and negligible PSA could be considered a problem while you are on holiday I wouldn't have thought.

Since your surgery was recent, even specialist insurers may price higher than average because active follow-up care could still be a risk factor, but quotes shouldn’t typically jump from £270 to £1,400 just because of one year’s anniversary, especially with negligible PSA. Comparison and specialist brokers usually bring that back down considerably.

Not quite the same situation as you. My husband is currently on HT and due hopefully to have radiotherapy at beginning of July. Consultant said we were fine to go on holiday for 2 weeks just before.  Husband rang Insure and Go to update our annual policy. He was very surprised at how easy it was talking to someone. The extra charge to the policy was just a bit over £200, making it way less that your quote
