Is my prostate removed?

Hello,

I am worried about my prostate cancer. My grandfather died and my uncle got it and they removed it. That's why I am worried about will got it or not? I have just tuned 49. So many thoughts coming in my mind. I am very tensed about my position. Is anybody can got removed it? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most men get prostate cancer if they live long enough to get old. A surgeon will not remove your prostate just in case because the side effects can be quite serious.

What you can do is start having an annual PSA test so you can monitor any changes over time

As the above comments said - go to your doctor and ask for a PSA test. It's a simple blood test and that will put your mind at ease. You should try and have one at least once a year.
