Hello,

My grandfather had his prostate removed January 2015 and blood tests today revealed that his PSA has risen to 0.66, can anyone tell more about this? They are sending him for an urgent scan. Is 0.6 high following prostate removal.

Matthew, has grandad been having regular PSA blood tests, other blood test results would be useful to know how the PSA has been rising. Intervention after surgery would normally take place when the PSA got to around 0.2 ,or possibly slightly higher. How old is grandad.

The possible next step, subject to the scan results could be salvage RT.

Thanks Chris

Hi Chris,

It was a scam reply with a gaming link attached. We seem to be getting them more regularly. In future, I'll just report them, to save confusion when they're deleted.

Adrian, it can be useful to warn others that  post is a scam. Once the mods have removed a scam post I then usually remove my warning post.

Thanks Chris
