There is no data on ratio

Psa Ratio: 12%

07/30/2022

Total Psa: 3.71 ng/ml

Psa Ratio: 14%

In ultrasound prostate size 30 cc

DRE results:

Normal. Adenomatous II/IV

Specialist urologist said that review in 1 year

What do you think? should I be worried?

In the UK, you would (or at least, should) have been sent for an MRI scan last year after your retest confirming your PSA > 3.

Our NHS doesn't use the free ratio, but our charity testing does, and yours is also a bit concerning.

You should get another PSA test done now as a first step.

Thank you very much for your reply.

What do these results suggest to you?

I discussed the free PSA with the specialist and the answer is that the ratio studies

were only valid in a PSA range between 4.1-10 and that below 4 they are not valid.

And now I'm confused

The charity which does most of the charity testing in the UK uses them in the range 1.5-10. Some early results are here: https://img1.wsimg.com/blobby/go/75d8bfcf-3050-4465-9626-c4b9ad66cbb1/downloads/9.3.22%20Free%20to%20Total%20Analysis%20as%20at%20January%2020.pdf?ver=1693988159674

However, even ignoring the free to total ratio (which the NHS doesn't use), you would have been referred for an MRI scan because your PSA > 3 even on multiple retests.

Thank for ur reply

checking this table I see that I have a high chance of having cancer in the range of 12-14% and a PSA around 4 :(
