Hi . This is my first post as just on the road for prostrate and bone cancer. In today for bone scan, Sunday CT scan and Tuesday my biopsy. Cannot fault the speed of treatment.
is there anything to ease the burning when peeing.
Regards
Geoff
Hi sorry you are here. For most people prostate cancer does not cause any pain, but I see from your bio it is advanced and has spread to the base of your penis. I don't know how to ease the burning. Once you start treatment with I presume HT, it will be very effective at shrinking the cancer so things will get better. I'm sure you know that advanced prostate cancer is treatable but not curable. You may live many years, but it is very likely your final cause of death will be prostate cancer.

If you haven't had any prostate cancer treatments or invasive tests yet, then any pain peeing sounds like a UTI. You should see your GP and get your urine tested. If you happen to have a urology appointment coming up, they might do it. I'm petty sure they won't want to do a biopsy if they think you might have a UTI.
