Pain in Rectum

Just a bit of background - I was having trouble going to the toilet, had a DRE and they found a lump, had a slightly raised PSA.  Had a biopsy which came back clear.  My prostrate is enlarged at 80cc.  I am taking Tamulosin and Finestrade.

I sometimes have a bit of pain in my rectum but this morning the pain was so bad, I was doubled over.  It lasted about 20 minutes and has left me with a dull ache low down in my left side of my abdomen.  Has anyone experienced this before, should I be concerned?

Hi,

Over ten years ago, I experienced similar symptoms.  Pains in the rectum and nether regions and crippling pain down below when enjaculating. I was diagnosed  with prostatitis and prescribed Tamulosin, which I was still taking until a year ago.

Despite the similarity of our symptons, I'm not medically qualified, so I suggest you get a doctor to check it out.

However, like many on here,  I can categorically state, that the prostate gland can definitely be an absolute pain in the a*s*!  🙂
