Just noticed blood in my urine

Hi just noticed blood in my  urine , eight months after RT. Will this involve any obtrusive investigation? So frustrating.

Hi Rory I had the same had a cystoscopy which came back all clear onco said blood in urine is a side effect from a lot off radiotherapy mine cleared and has been clear since get checked but I wouldn't worry too much gaz 👍

Rory, have you got a late effects team in your radiology department. You may have a mild stage of radiation cystitis.

If it turns to blood clots , stingy blood clots debris and bits if tissue you need to be seen by someone who understands severe radiation cystitis.

I had one episode four years post RT. It did mean having a cystoscopy and a CT scan. Nothing of concern found, and it has not happened since.

I experienced the same, also about eight months post-RT.  I had a cystoscopy which found no radiation cystitis but did find a stricture in my urethra just below the prostate.  I had to have it dilated.  That will be three years ago this year and I've had no recurrence.

A kidney stone on it's way out, can cause blood in urine
