Blood in Stools

And the delights just keep on coming!

Spoke to my GP on 6th of February still having problems with diahorrea (been fairly constant since 2019 & the original reason for getting my PC diagnosis) she agreed it was time to start again to try and establish a cause. There have been numerous delays so far, including my RP in October 2019, Covid, 33 fractions Salvage RT starting in March 2023 and waiting for Continence Clinic appointments which started in August/September 2023. Throughout this I've generally been having between 4 -12 bowel movements a day.

Anyway, I had a full set of Blood Tests on 7th February-including a PSA test which has been booked for later this month.                            Results back 2 days later, all OK & my PSA 0.04 🙂.   GO also requested a Stool sample test (FIT test) & I received the test kit on 9th February, which I duly returned on Monday 12th February.                Results arrived the next afternoon  as Abnormal, contact GP asap.   FIT test results 118.6 m/ugl normal being in the range 0 - 10.              Blood found in sample, 2w/w pathway.  I'm getting a phone call from my GP on Monday morning. I guess it's Colonoscopy & Biopsy time.   Oh deep joy, but it needs sorting. My last colonoscopy in 2019 showed mild Diverticular Disease, Continence Nurse thinks it could be Microscopic Colitis or Radiation Proctitis aggravating things.

Has anyone else had these issues please?

Thanks Steve.

Steve, long time since you were on here and even longer since I last saw you. Sorry to hear about your further complications. I can't offer any practical advice. Hope it turns out to be a nothing to serious.

Thanks Chris
