Dad is currently on Abiraterone (Feb 24 psa 26.5, April 24 psa 39) had prostate removed 2011, been on casodex and zoladex before Feb this year. Now has widespread mets.
The consultant said they will take him off it in 4 weeks if no improvement and may try low dose chemo rather than radium 223. The consultant hasn’t seen him before so doesn’t know his history.
They are going to give radiotherapy for his skull mets.
At 83, with atrial fibrillation and heart atherosclerosis, are they likely to offer this treatment when the time comes?
