Hormone therapy not working!

I was due to start Enzalutamide alongside  digarelix injections. I had a starting PSA of 1356 and after 3 months on digarelix my PSA has risen to 1500, they are now saying I could be in the 2% of other cell cancer! I am  73 was diagnosed in April with mets to bones and lymph nodes around prostate area.

It seems we are back to the drawing board and I  will now have a biopsy, they also said other rarer prostate cancer cells do not usually cause such a big increase in PSA so they are a bit confused which has unsettled me even more!

Anyone had similar problems please and does anyone know what the new treatment path could be?

Thank you in advance

Hi prince. Sorry to hear the digarelix isn't working. With the high PSA a biopsy was unnecessary, but as you haven't responded in the normal way to HT, I can see they will need to look at these cells more closely and see what's going on. I don't know what the next treatment path would be. Best of luck.

Dave
