My blood is checked every 3 months and have today had my 3rd test and awaiting the results . I have been told that I have to have a biopsy after the first year to obtain samples again . Can anyone advise me why a biopsy is required and not an MRI scan to see if my prostate has got bigger or the cancer grown .
