Does anyone know where LynEyre has gone?

She is a massive asset to this site.

I did ping Lyn a couple of weeks ago, and she did reply. Said she would try to find time to login here.

I miss her too. This place isn't the same without her.

Lyn is absolutely fine !! I guess having a big break and well deserved. I was prolific years ago and spent some time trying to save myself and help others as best I could. And then sometimes you realise you’re just spending way too much time on something you want to forget in a way. Especially with an incurable diagnosis and seeing people you joined with passing away one by one. Lyn was totally there for me 10 years ago and steered me and helped me and my family. So was a wonderful woman called Edamo who had lost her husband to the disease. I remain friends and face book friends with them both but don’t much interact with them. I have seen posts from Lyn and all seems fine. Her immense and talented contributions to this forum probably just wore her down. Maybe she will come back with a fanfare sooner or later. Best wishes all 👍

yes, Matron has been gone for some time. If I remember correctly,  she also took a break last year as well but I don’t remember it being as long as this. Her contributions are invaluable.

Apparently, Lyn has been here for 15 years with almost 15,000 posts.

The lady is a living legend.

I hope that she is OK and just taking a long break.

I hope she is okay too.
Her knowledge of prostate cancer is breathtaking!

Also missing our Matron and her endless knowledge .

She has a Facebook account, it's easy to find, so if anyone else is on, you could message her on there.

It's been 6 months since Lyn last posted and I'm not on Facebook, so I can't follow that line of enquiry.

I know people need a break from here and maybe she's even decided to 'retire' from here permanently but she's done so much, for so long, for others. I just hope that she is okay.

Miss you Matron.

Hi Adrian has Lyn not responded to any comments lately or have I missed them, hope she & her hubby are ok.

Its not the same without matron giving her advice & experience on here.

All the beast Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

It's eight months since Lyn last posted. I  hope that she, John and the rest of their family are OK. From what Andy says she's fine, just very busy.

It's a shame her contribution to the forum was immense and she's sorely missed.

There are several others, 2 or 3 who were very poorly, who've not posted for ages. I hope that they're all OK as well.

Thanks for the update Adrian I wondered if I had missed any or her comments.

Have a great xmas mate.  Jeff.

Its been a year since Lyn last posted. Has anyone been in touch with her recently?

I've just been trawling through some old conversations and realise how much I miss her wit and wisdom.

If you can, come back Lyn. I'll make your tea, buy you a box of chocolates and promise not to give you a welcome home kiss. XXXXX

Hi Adrian I thought I’d seen a post from Lyn a few months ago, maybe I was wrong & it was an old post. Hope she & her husband are well, her knowledge was such a big help to me when I was starting my treatment.

I haven’t spoken to you for a while ( just a pint of carling for me mate )

Jeff.

Hi Jeff.

I've just checked out Lyn's vital statistics. 🙂 She lasted posted exactly a year ago. Unfortunately, the one you saw recently, must have  been an old one. Over 15 years, she posted almost 15000 times! What an incredible achievement.

Whilst you have your first Carling, I'll join you with my third Coors. 🍻

Cheers, mate and all the best.

I know Lyn led a very busy life and it was a wonder to me how she managed to fit so much in. She is indeed sorely missed but I am glad she is OK.
