Surplus catheter bags

I would expect this to have been covered previously but cannot find it anywhere. I have a number of unused, unopened catheter bags (leg and night bags) which thankfully I no longer need and would like to donate them so they van be used rather than thrown away. Can anyone advise where I might donate them?

Hi, I don't know how many you've got but I got a delivery in a big box as it was over Christmas and didn't need them so I took them to the District Nurses clinic, although it was 8 yrs ago.  They were a bit wary of taking them but it was a completely unopened delivered box.

I think now I'd ring the Urology Ward or the GP as that clinic has been demolished.

I wouldn't imagine anyone would come and pick them up as it would cost more than they're worth.

Thanks, Peter. I’m happy to deliver within reason. I just hate the thought of perfectly good equipment going to landfill.

Carrow, I am a long term/ permanent catheter wearer but I do have a preference to what I use.  I used to belong to a catheter support Facebook group, there were always people giving and recieving catheter equipment.

As said the cost of postage can sometimes be greater than the value. My district nurses don't normally accept unused equipment. There are probably lots of charities donating to conflict areas of the world who would happy to accept them.

Kind of you to think of others.

Thanks Chris

Thanks, Chris. I’ll try to find a charity on line which would take them.
