If you read my profile you will see I have been fighting bkadder and prostate cancer since 2016, 8 years .I am classified as high risk of reoccurance due to being Gleeson 4 3 with tertiery 5 and spread to local lymph nodes .HOWEVER  my bladder cancer is now considered cured, completely clear for 7 years and I  have been passed back to my GPs care and my PSA has been undetectable for 4 and a half years .I remain  on three monthly Decapeptyl injections for life and Enzalutimide tablets reduced dosage 2 instead of 4 a day .I had a Robotic prostatectomy so the mothership has gone and that reduced the cancer load .I had Salvage RT because of  rapidly rising PSA after the prostatectomy along with Enzalutimide and PSA dropped to undetectable within weeks

The Atlanta trial is ongoing and looking into the viability of treating the cancerous  prostate in those patients considered with adcanced disease whereas current practice does not consider it viable as the cancer has escaped to other areas .Hopefully the trial will prove that treating the prostate in advanced cases is a further step towards achieving full remission

My results are excellent and I hope to remain this way for many years although I am at high risk of it returning  ,there is hope out there. So to all of you out there facing this nasty disease keep positive and know that even in advanced cases current treatments can extend your life for many years and in that time a cure may even be found .
