Biochemical recurence Options

Hi there,

i am not in the UK. Indeed i retired and went abroad and then was diagnosed with a PC. I am a 4+Gleason 9 and if I am honest I do not believe my treatment was the best. 20 x RT and two years on Zoladex. I did not have bicalutamide and neither did they treat the lymph nodes. My PSA fell very slowly and even after 6 months was above 5. According to what I know this is a bad long term prognosis. I do not want to be negative but i am sure that a biochemical recurrence lies ahead and i need to understand what my options are.I also need to plan because my local hospital is not very good and if i know what treatment options exist I can plan to move to another area. Your help and advice would be welcome.

It would be really useful to have an accurate timeline including all your PSA test results, and each treatment starting and finishing. If you've had any Testosterone readings, include those too. (This should all be in your bio, not here.)

My first thought with the little info you have given is that this is a case which might benefit from 3 years on hormone therapy, but as I don't know when you finished the Zoladex, I don't know if that's still an option.
