Hi Dave,

it was still at 0.04 ng/ml ... so quite good at the moment.

Hope it stays that way!

BR, Henrik

Hi Henrik

I was diagnosed in Aug 2023, T2C, G3+4=7, with Cribriform found during biopsy. I had RP in July 2024, and the post op Histology upgraded me to T3a, still G3+4=7, but with tertiary pattern 5 found as well. I am also interested to find out how Cribriform affects the chances of BCR, but have so far not found any meaningful data.

Hope you are keeping well!

Ian.

Hello mate.

We are in a relatively similar position except I was Gleason 9 (4+5). I thought cribriform was a major factor in formulating your Gleason score? Unfortunately, the research I've done shows that a high Gleason score, capsular breach, EPE, and spread to seminal vesicles or lymph nodes each increase the risk of BCR.

I used these nonograms to predict my chances of BCR, which appear to be be about 50% after 5 years.

I'm trying hard to put the risk to the back of my mind and just hoping my 3 monthly PSA checks remain undetectable. I keep telling myself it's pointless worrying about something that may never happen, but it's difficult.

Hello Ian,

there are a couple of medical papers available online.

I found this one the most comprehensive:
"Cribriform growth is highly predictive for postoperative metastasis and disease-specific death in Gleason score 7 prostate cancer"
https://www.modernpathology.org/article/S0893-3952(22)01915-9/fulltext
- Download of the full article also available.

Best of luck,
Henrik

I think that is probably the best option mate. I've so far found information that both TGP5, plus Cribriform, are both independently powerful predictors of BCR. I tick both of those boxes, so I think it's quite likely that PCa hasn't finished with me just yet. However, for now, like you, I'll just roll the dice every 12 weeks and celebrate when the result is good 👍

Hi Henrik

Great news it's still looking good with your PSA result.

I too have cribriform pattern 4 mentioned in my prostate biopsy along with PNI present.

Just waiting for my 20 RT sessions to start in Mid February, hopefully the radiation is effective against this cancer sub type, which I also don't know much about and how aggressive it could be.

Cheers Dave🤞
