Biopsy 29/8/2024 - 10 pot of 20 cores were cancer. T2a N0 M0.

The 10 cores sll in left side of prostate.

I was diagnosed 30/9/2024 Gleason 6

Currently on AS.

Last PSA was 6.6 14/6/2024

I had a PSA yesterday 25/11/2024 and got the result today. PSA is now 8.0.

This seems like a big jump.

Do I stay on AS or get radical treatment.

I have an appointment with the Cancer Nurse on Monday 02/12/2024:

Could be because of a UTI (infection) or other activity. Suggest you get a urine test. You are on AS but please don't rush into making any decisions about treatment because PCa is slow-growing, particularly 3+3 and your PSA levels are relatively low. Mine always hover around the 9 or 10 mark, mostly because I have a very large prostate. However, earlier this year it went up to 16.93 but that was definitely because I had a UTI at the time the blood sample was taken but then about six weeks later returned to base level of 9.53.

Andy , my GP missed a PSA of 6.9 in 2010. Following a chance test ,I was diagnosed in Dec 2012 with a PSA of 7.7. I waited for the new robot at our hospital,by the end of April 2014 it was 10.

Not sure what you can read into those results, does the biopsy create more PSA during the healing process.

Thanks Chris

Likely need another MpMRI and they can compare the two for any new abnormality from the prior one. Also I imagine another PSA test before they would order another MRI. Without actually another biopsy and your last one was recent you won’t know if you went to a Geason 7. You are right to see the Cancer Nurse but it might be still some time before you have to decide to leave AS.
