severe pain in testicles after removal surgery

i had keyhole surgery a week ago  at Westmoreland St.  i am due back next week to have catheter removed. I am recovering at home. Today for the first time i am getting moderate to severe pain in my testicles. Is this a common side effect  and nothing to worry about? why should the testes be in pain? they are not touched during surgery?

Hi Lekbo.

Swollen scrotum and pain in the perineum are possible effects of prostatectomy as is a pain in the testicles. The post, which had been above mine, before being reported and deleted, had a gaming link in it and has been made by someone who is a pain in the ar*e.

I'm not medically trained, but my concern would be that the testicular pain has started a week after the op, and could perhaps be an infection. If it continues I'd get it checked out, mate.

Hi Lekbo

I had some moderate discomfort down there after my op, but it was pretty much straight away, and didn't last long. As Adrian says, given it has started a week after the op, I'd get it checked if it hangs around (excuse the poor pun...).

Ian.
