Finishing my 2 Years HT, when will side effects stop?

Hi, not been on for a while, diagnosed July 2019, Gleason 9 T1c, RARP October 2019 pathology T3b required 33 fractions Salvage RT starting March 2023 along with 2 years HT (150mg Bicalutamide & 10mg Tamoxifen daily) this is due to finish 10th February & I'm just wondering how long the side effects will linger on.

Any information gratefully received, next PSA in March although I don't expect any jump so soon after finishing HT.

Cheers, Steve

There is no waiting for the Testosterone to return in this case, since it doesn't go when you're on Bicalutamide alone. Actually, it gets pushed to a higher level. It's just a question of expelling the Bicalutamide from your system which is around 30 days, and then it takes time before you start noticing the effect of working androgen receptors again, possibly 2-3 months. I'm not sure anyone has well documented the recovery after Bicalutamide.

The Tamoxifen takes a bit longer than the Bicalutamide to leave your system, and it also boosts Testosterone (unless you're on GnRH hormone therapy drugs too).
