How long has anyone lived with advanced cancer?

Advanced cancer without treatment. I would be surprised if many people survived more than two years, and five would be pretty much the limit.

With hormone treatment, then five years would probably be average, but 10 or 20 years is possible.

Hi

I'm just coming up to to 3 years after being diagnosed in April 2022 with advanced cancer,I'm pretty confident that I would not have been here in April 2023 as my kidneys were rapidly failing due to the disease, also treatment has kept the cancer away from my vital organs for now.

Sorry mate, are you asking how long has anyone lived with advanced prostate cancer, but taking no treatments?

Or how long has anyone lived with advanced prostate cancer?

If it's the first, we probably have no idea as they would be gone pretty quickly.

If it's the 2nd, there is an American guy who is still alive 22 years after diagnosis and there is a poster on this forum who is 19 years post PCa diagnosis.

Statistically in England 30% of men diagnosed with Stage 4 PC, survive their disease for 5 years or more.

Hope this helps.
