Any others in the prick a dick club?

Two years ago, I had non nerve sparing robotic surgery. I was told that it was very unlikely that I would be able to get a natural erection again. Unfortunately, to date, that has been the case.

Six months after surgery, I was seen at an erectile dysfunction clinic and was prescribed Invicorp and it worked. I'm in Goole and North Lincolnshire Trust area and my Invicorp, 5 phials a month, is on repeat prescription. To buy it privately costs about £130.

A couple of times I've had supply issues but they've both been sorted quickly.

The more I've used the product, the more I'm impressed with it. It's changed my life.

I appreciate there are alternatives, like pumps, oral ED medication, and other penile injection drugs. In my case, pumps did not suit me. Tablets, due to a heart condition, were a no go and Caverject was ineffective.

I initially just joined this site to give others in my position some hope that not all was lost. My first post was:

https://community.prostatecanceruk.org/posts/t29845-Hooray-for-Invicorp

I've been a regular contributor ever since, and have been surprised, considering ED is a major side effect of most PCa treatments, that there have been surprisingly few conversations on penile injections.

It would be interesting to know how many others have tried Invicorp. How effective they've found it and whether they get it on prescription or pay privately?

I'd also like to know whether it can be obtained on the NHS on prescription throughout the UK.

I understand that for many, especially those with needle phobias, that Invicorp would be unsuitable. However, to any others out there, with ED issues, and who've found other treatments ineffective, please give Invicorp a go. 👍

Hey Adrian…not ‘in the club’ yet but we think it’s on the cards soon and the next stage for Steve to give it a go.

We have found moving through the ED ‘system’ painfully slow and have had to push and be very proactive at each stage; so far Steve has had Sildenafil - side effects bad and it didn’t work; urologist then prescribed Tadalafil to try….no luck so far but not finished the ‘trial’ yet….he said if no joy then injections next (not sure whether he will prescribe Caverject or Invicorp though) hopefully someone will show him how to use them!

He is 15 months (nerve sparing) post op and no signs of natural life down there yet! Watch this space!

I had partial nerve sparing surgery 12 months ago and found that the Tadalafil and the pump just weren't quite enough so I've been using the prescribed Viridal for about six months or so. And generally it's pretty good, and once getting through the unsurprising nervousness ('am I really going to stick a needle in..."), it really is straightforward. Maybe not the most conventional foreplay but it produces results.

Important to get the dose right as it can last a long time...

Natural erections do seem to be returning now and Sildenafil has been prescribed which I'm starting to use, but the injections definitely made a difference.

As an aside Viridal is out of stock at local pharmacies and online. Anyone else finding this?

Had to use caverject for about 12 months - I found it worked really well. Then miraculously at about 2 years post op it all started working well enough to stop using it.
