As you know I’ve been getting my testosterone levels checked every 3 months in Fuerteventura, as despite my GP agreeing to do it, when I go for the test the nurse is reluctant to do it🤷🏼‍♂️ My latest test came back at 1.88, which I thought didn’t match how I was feeling sexually.

when I looked close at the test it said I was in the normal range of 1.27 x 10.2🤔🤔

then I realised that I was being measured in ng/ml, where the standard seems to be nmol/L.

I found a Conversion tool and my testosterone is actually 6.5 nmol/L. I then checked Andy62’s reading and they are in nmol/L

getting the Viagra ready for tonight!🤣🤣🤣

Happy Days!😊

Good to hear you're back in the normal range, and also good that your body was telling you that even though you thought the numbers weren't.

Units of measurement are important and always a cause of problems. I have googled stuff and read stuff which didn't add up. A lot of the internet is based on US websites, and they often use different units to UK ones.

I've never come across Testosterone in those units. As far as I'm aware, all the world uses the SI units nmol/L except the USA which uses ng/dL (which is at least metric, even if not the SI unit).

To convert nmol/L to the USA's ng/dL, multiply value by 28.

As I said, I had the test done in Fuerteventura and it was done by Eurofins. If I remember correctly they did COVID tests when I returned to the UK during ‘that’ time. No idea WHy they used these units as it seems the standard is nmol/L.
