Hi, My latest PSA result 20 months after completing Radiotherapy came back at 0.5, this was the same as my last test 6 months ago, Urology seemed happy with this result, my question is have I reached nadir or could it go even lower, any comments welcome.

Are you on HT still?

From the information you've posted it's probable that your psa won't go down much more. I would think it could wobble around a bit but if it's about the same as 6 months ago that's good news.

That is probably your nadir. RT takes about two years to kill all the cancer cells, but most are killed with in the first few months. You still have plenty of healthy prostate cells so you should not expect a <0 PSA.

All sounds good, if you were still on HT it would need to be lower but as you aren't, fingers crossed, all sorted.

Thanks for the responses, I'm not on any HT, I was on 3 months of Bicalutamide prior to my Radiotherapy and the Oncologists thought that would be my best course of treatment, my Gleason score was 7 (4+3) and PSA 5.4 before my treatment started.
