Testing ideas for direct referral

🚨🚨 UPDATE - we now have enough testers for this project. Thanks for your interest 🚨🚨

We're looking to speak to people that have been diagnosed with prostate cancer about a new project we are working on with a number of other major health charities. The project is exploring how we can improve outcomes for people diagnosed with serious conditions, through NHS clinics referring their patients to relevant specialist health charities for information and support.

We're hoping to share with you some ideas and early concepts we have on how to improve these pathways and talk to you more about your experiences. We have put together more information in a pack that I can share with you if you get in touch.

The session would be via video call for 45-60 minutes, with yourself and two members of our team. There is nothing to prepare, we'll guide you through a few questions and would love your honest thoughts and feedback. We are carrying these interviews out on 14th May between 10-5.

If you are interested, please get in touch with me at nick.ridgman@prostatecanceruk.org

I can answer any questions you might have, and hopefully get a timeslot line up that works for you.

Hi Nick

I would be happy to help if you think my 'CV' is relevant to your project:

Diagnosed over thirteen years ago at the age of 73, had prostatectomy lasting nearly 6 hours, very difficult recovery, catheter in place for 6 weeks, now suffer from arousal cimacturia and erectile dysfunction but still sexually active at 86 with the use of VEDs.

I had very little help from the time of diagnosis, choice of treatment, recovery and re-establishing our sex life. I have a thread on this site which has had many readers and I contribute to other men's queries when appropriate. Both my wife and I feel that we have been very luck and would like to help others.
