Very Expensive Travel Insurance

Hi,

We have been told today in as nice a way as possible to go and enjoy what time my partner has left.

We had a quote for travel insurance last week at over £1,700 for five days.

Does anyone have any recommendations for travel insurance. The only medications he is going to be on now will be the zolodex, and monthly zolodronic acid. So not sure if that will count as no longer having treatment.

I am so very sorry that your Partner and you are in the position you find yourselves. He is currently having systemic treatment so Insurers will take this into account along with how advanced his cancer is. Sometimes insurers refer men in this situation to a medical team to help consider the risk and price accordingly but different insurers may access the risk differently so worth shopping arround for cover. Sorry I can't suggest more competative Insurers but maybe somebody else on here can suggest insurers to try or you could ask Macmillan for suggestions.

Try insurewith Annie, they wouldn't insure me because I'm taking 2 x blood pressure meds on top of my HT, if I'd only been on one BP med they were quoting £750 for a 14 night cruise.

Thank you Barry, I rang McMillan on the advice of the nurse in clinic. They are emailing some information.

Hello Annie, try albert&eddie (online), it's a comparison site for half a dozen or so insurers all owned by the same holding company.

I'm on Prostap and Darolutamide, having has chemo last year and I secured a couple of good quotes - it's worth a try at least.

I do hope you can find a solution.

Try insurancewith (different from insurewith). I have found them very good in the past. I paid approx. £150 for two weeks sailing in Turkey two years ago. I was taking Zoladex at that time and one drug for hypertension.

My husband had other health conditions as well as advanced pc and he got covered for a 2 week cruise in July for £300 with insurancewith.com
