I've had chemo, radiotherapy and hormone treatment and my PSA was negligible. It went up to 0.3 but 6 months later it's 2.2. I'm being referred to urology. Should I be concerned that it's come back?
At psa 2.2 it's certainly appropriate to go back to your specialist for tests and maybe scans. I'd be thinking you/he should be seeing an oncologist given the treatment he had was radiotherapy.
Has he had his testosterone levels measured?
Jules
What was his psa level before treatment? If he was given Chemo, Hormones and Radiotherapy he normally would have been seeing an Oncologist and normally that would be where he should go.
