Thank you

Hi again Mrs Worry.

In your other conversation you mentioned that the GP doing your husband's DRE described it as knobbly. Was it the same DRE and the same doctor who described it as boggy?

This article casts doubt on the accuracy of DREs

I shouldn't worry what adjectives are used.  Your husband has been refered to a urologist who may well recommend an MRI which will be far more accurate.

Hi Adrian

I'm probably just wishful thinking that the GP when describing texture as knobbly could mean boggy , as a boggy texture could indicate prostatitis which would tie in with his bacterial infection .

I really should stop Googling , and wait for urologist to take a look . I guess I'm trying to find some reassurance.

Thanks again for reaching out to me.

No problems, that's what we're here for.

I know how much worry these initial fears cause. My advice is just take one step at a time and don't think of 'what ifs'

What helped me was this quote, "Worrying will only ruin today, and change nothing tomorrow."
