Hi

Has anyone had a nodule found during rectal examination that turned out to be something other than cancer ?

Thankyou

Mrs worry, I guess from the lack of answers nobody has a definite answer or has been in that situation. I have lots of lumps in my body and none of them are cancer, they are fatty tissue. Easier said than done for some ,but do try and stay calm until all the tests are done. Take care of yourself, worrying will not alter the outcome, so don't worry.

Thanks Chris

Yes, my nodule detected at DRE turned out just to be a skin tag after an MRI scan, I am 57 and my PSA was 1.47 and this is what my consultant expected but needed an MRI to confirm it.

Unfortunately in my case the MRI picked up a very early Gleason 6 lesion the opposite side of the prostate so currently on Active Surveillance to ensure it doesn't develop any further.
