Prostate cancer treatment options.

A video produced by North Central London Cancer Alliance explaining diagnosis and the treatment options of prostate cancer.

Although a small amount of information is London specific, the vast majority of the video clearly describes the diagnosis procedure, including Gleason grading,  cancer staging, scans and biopsies. It includes all treatment options and possible side effects.

For anyone being treated for the disease. I think it's a 'must view'. It covers most of the questions asked in this forum, especially the most common ones, including "What treatment do I chose?"

I can't recall a link to it being posted on here but if someone has already posted one, I apologise.

What a great find Adrian! This provides excellent and easily understandable basic information that all newly diagnosed men should view. It shows different forms of treatmentand how this is applied on an iindividual basis depending on how a patient presents, also why the choice is often left to the patient.

I've just watched the video. Excellent for the newly diagnosed. It would be great if Prostate Cancer UK could produce a more generic one on the same lines

Cheers lads.👍

It is going to reduce my texting on here. It covers most questions most often asked by those seeking diagnosis or treatment advice. In future, I'll simply reply with the link.

The only shortfall I found, although the video is relatively new, it didn't specifically mention the new SABR, 5 session, RT that just been approved or single port, Retizus sparing, surgery.

I suppose this is an indication of how quickly treatments are advancing for PCa.
