Hi guys ,just an update as to my work in progress. One thing I decided to do ,when I beat my cancer was to greatly,
improve my general health and fitness levels.Having been a kung fu ,karate fanatic when I was young ,I had a good idea of what to be getting on with. Now my body has taken a beating in my life, I had the cancer ,but work injuries include .Two fingers ripped off my left primary hand at work, impediment to my left eye ,from red hot steel. shot knee caps because of working all my life around hot steel and the weight of catching 40/50 kilo billets at high speed. This resulted in a devarification of my abdomen. Then I also have a left shoulder rota cuff tare.Plus a detachment of the left upper arm sinew. And finally osteoarthritis in both knees again the hot and coldness of a hand operated rolling mill.So I first changed my diet completely ,going to a full on plant based diet.cut out all red meat in fact all meat ,eggs milk etc I am now completely plant based.Second I rejoined my local gym and swimming baths, and hit the gym almost every day.I mix my gym training between muscle build and endurance, this has helped me go back down to a nice 32inch waist and I think I will hit 30 at some point.I follow a guy called Clarence Bass , look him up guys a former Mr UNIVERSE but he's known more for his ripped body with very low fat content. This has also greatly increased my pelvic strength .Iam now about to embark on a sword course, learning the art of both the Japanese and European medieval knights way of the sword.I also practise the ancient art of falconry and have flown falcons hawks and eagles for just over 50 years. In 2026 me and my wife are doing the salt path in Cornwall, no doubt you may have seen the recent film or read the book.I hit my 68th birthday this coming January and as long as my health lasts intend to keep pushing myself forward and into my uncomfortable zone, challenging myself all the way. I will also be launching a new instagram page in 2026 look out for it
The Falcon &the Sword .A sort of workshop for anyone wanting to experience falconry and that outdoor life to learning about Medieval knights and my passion for the knights templars, Hospitalliers and Teutonic Knights. And finally a book release planned around about the same time called , A Return to the Field. This about picking up my falcon again after first my hand accident and one year later my cancer. Anyone else got a project going or looking to do something inspiring after cancer. William.
