Post Biopsy ejaculation

I had my first Biopsy just over 2 weeks ago, after 3 years of PSA tests where my PSA went from 5.02 to 8.6. All my MRI scans were clear.

I’ve read a conversation on here about ejaculation after the Biopsy (but now can’t find it on the site) and after the initial murder scene, the Blood is now starting to dry up. My concern is though that there’s little else coming out, and afterwards I get a dull ache in my scrotum and perineum. Is this anything to worry about or just normal?

Hi Neil,

I'm sorry that you're having prostate problems, but welcome to the forum. There can be numerous side effects from prostate biopsies including blood in semen, blood in urine and bruising. Most gradually heal. However, there is always a chance of infection too. I had similar pains to yours and they stopped about a month later.

I hope the discomfort fades. If not, I'd call your GP.

Please keep us updated and best of luck with your biopsy results. 👍

Hi Neil,

Welcome aboard. I had the same dull ache for about a month after my biopsy. Everything else seemed ok though. Has Adrian has said if you've got any doubts give your GP or NHS direct a call

Dave
