Sadly I think it's a post code lottery thing as I certainly didn't have such a meeting.

😁 I better stop nagging my husband then, he might get a lovely lady to talk to as well

Hi.   It’s just a chat to see how he’s dealing with the diagnosis and how he’s feelling mentally.  It’s usually with a McMillan nurse and is quite informal.    It’s help as you realise you are not alone and there are plenty of us living with this and going through the same procedures

Thanks Simon

Is it something everyone who has been diagnosed gets?

I had a lovely lady,  I think she was a Macmillan volunteer worker. She used to telephone every few weeks to see how I was doing. We used to have a giggle, and usually ended up talking about the weather and how poor the NHS was.

Thank heavens, she never told me that I should eat healthier, drink less booze, and exercise more often. That would have spoilt our relationship. 😁

I’m not sure tbh.    I met a lovely lady called Jenny at Tameside hospital and we just talked for about an hour.   Talked about everything.   How I was feeling etc with the diagnosis of cancer.    The mental aspect of the pca can be  the hardest part as you feel fit and well.   I’ve had dark day and really good days    There are groups you can attend to meet people .    Remember.   Pca isn’t a death sentence.    As I was told.   It’s just a bump in the road of life
