Revised to asking if anybody here has had stereotactic radiotherapy for their prostrate cancer?

If so how did it go and what short and long term complications or side effects have you had?

Hi there.  I think whatever treatment path you took, they would ideally want to do biopsies to be sure the new lesions they can see on MRI are actually cancerous and what grade.

If this is the 5 fractions without hormone therapy (rolled out after the successful PACE-B trial), it's limited to T2 G7 (and possibly only 3+4, not 4+3), so they may feel they have to make sure you're still within that category.

PACE-C trial was dealing with higher risk cancer, and adds in hormone therapy, but I haven't seen that treatment rolled out yet.

Standard external beam (20 fractions with hormone therapy) would be applicable for a larger range of diagnoses.

Yes it is the 5 fractions which is why the need to do the bi-ops as it is grade limited at the moment.

My understanding is that it is still in trials, they only started this month, but not sure if they are under PACE-B or C and if the grade limit is G7 or G8?
