Poor statistical results of the side effects of incontinence and ED after RARP.

Hi all.

Considering incontinence and ED are the main side effects of RARP, there seems to be very little research showing how extensive they are and how long most blokes take to recover from them.

When you do find relevant research,  it always seems to flawed by a small sample group and the fact that most are based on the results from an individual surgeon rather than across the board.

I'd have thought that there would be have been lots of evidence from huge sample groups into these side effects. However, if there is any, apart from the ProtecT trail which had 82,000 participants, I can't find it.

I had RARP two and a half years ago. I've had periodic medical reviews. However, as far as I aware, my input in relation to incontinence and ED, have never been recorded for statistical purposes?

I do take heart, from the limited relevant research I have found, that as surgery techniques improve, these side effects are less troublesome than they were.
