Change in sensation of having a full bladder

Hi,

I'm taking Tamsulosin for enlarged prostate and have been doing so for just about a year.  It has been working well to help with my symptoms.

There is one thing I have noticed and I wonder if anyone else has noticed this as a potential side effect.

I am finding that if I wake in the night needing to pass urine, then the sensation of having a full bladder has completely changed.  It's very difficult to describe but that feeling that I guess we all have been familiar with when we need a pee, feels very different and perhaps a bit uncomfortable.  Not quite a pain but definitely a little uncomfortable.

Can anyone else relate to having a similar experience?  The concern I guess could be that I have some other issue relating to my bladder which is affecting the nerves and feeling?

Thanks!

Hi HH.

I was on Tamsulosin for over ten years. It had all sorts of side effects on me but most were confined to painful ejaculations, reduced semen and ED issues.

I've read your other post and having done a lot of research on the subject, can categorically state that Tamsulosin has no or very little affect on PSA levels.

Your bladder problem may not be Tamsulosin related and it might be worth getting it checked out.

Best of luck, mate.👍
