Late to the Table

A new member of PCUK, I was directed here last week in my Radiotherapy review after completing my 20 sessions 22nd September.

Long story short, diagnosed with aggressive PC in February 2025 with a PSA of 49. The cancer appeared to be encapsulated, but was bulging. Hormone injection, Abiraterone, steroid and RT to the gland and abdominal Lymph nodes.

I am now on 3 monthly checks and the listed medication until March 2027 , my PSA was last checked at 0.06 - I am OK with what I have at the moment, but have a number of side effects of the treatment, bowel and urine need to settle and no libido.

Thank you for having me.

Hi Kev,

I'm sorry that you've joined the club, but welcome to the forum, mate.

I went down the surgery route, and don't know much about  hormone therapy or radiotherapy. However, your very low PSA level indicates the treatment seems to have had great affect.

I hope your side effects soon subside.

There are several blokes on here who are in a similar position to you, and I'm  sure that if you ever require any advice or support they'll provide it.

Please keep us updated and good luck, mate. 👍
