psa down a tad

psa today, 14th Oct.  It was 0.14, down from 0.15 in June.  June was the biggest change I'd known so it was either bad news or a bad sign.

A drop is unequivocally good news!

Don't know why PSA fluctuates with seasons but you are by no means the only member to comment on it.

Especially when in June the nurse ticked 'bones' on my next blood test and said I may have micro-mets.

When I look at previous psa results it doesn't rise in summer and rises over winter. I'd like to know why.

It's at a very low level, so nothing to be concerned about.
PSA can rise if sexual activity has taken place a day or 4 before the test, if you have some sort of of infection (Cold or flu) it can also be higher. Of course, the sap rises in the spring, - another factor.😐

Hi Peter.

Great news, that there has been a slight PSA decrease, mate. Let's hope it stabilises, or even better continues to decline. 👍
