Post op 8 weeks

Hi all I’ve not posted for a while so I thought I’d drop a bit of an update.   I am post op 8 week and recovery has gone really well.  I had bilateral nerve sparing apparently ( I read it after the op ) which I think has contributed to me being continent after TWOC .   I read that nerve sparing options are assessed during the actual op by the surgeon ( not sure how.   Any info anyone ).  I had a bit of a low mood recently as the months of appointments  test etc seem to take a toll although it creeped up on me.I have an appointment on oct 30 for post histology results and psa and am hopeful it will be positive although I’m sure I’m not alone when we focus on what could be said negatively even though my stats etc would suggest things should be ok. I read the forum regularly and if anyone need advice on the op etc I’ll try and help.     Cheers all. Simon

Simon , I think the lack of attention after surgery can have a negative effect on your mental health or mood. Post surgery I had lots going on for three years. After 33 sessions of salvage RT I felt abandoned.

Hope your histology is good.

Thanks Chris
