Hi all,

I'm new here, so apologies if this has been mentioned before...

I had my ADT injection (6 month dose) on October 1st 2025, with 2 weeks of Bicalutamide either side of that date.

Thing is, sometime in mid-November I noticed that half a dozen of my teeth have developed dark brown "veins". I'm quite fussy about how my teeth look, and so this is quite distressing.

Anyone know if this is a known and/or common side-effect of the ADT hormone treatment?

Longer term , as ADT can affect bone health and the jaw is bone , there was at least one study that suggested it had an adverse effect on oral health ie gums and teeth. but that is over longer time.

However I would be surprised if you just started that would appear so quickly and what you describe is not to my knowledge indicated  in any common side effects for ADT though the effect on oral microbiome etc may not be well researched.

I'd ask your specialist and possibly then your dentist to take a look if it doesn't improve in a few weeks.
