I am 54 year old who had a RARP 29th October 2025. My catheter was removed 14 days after the surgery. I then had a UTI and was on Antibiotics for two weeks. Since having the catheter out I have been having pain in and around my pelvic area and hips. On contacting my consultant he advised that as it had been a difficult surgery with a lot of scaring and bleeding that is was probably a haematoma that would disappear in time.
It is now 5 weeks later and I still have a lot of pain, very debilitating as I am unable to return to work. I have recently had a CT scan but that shows all is well and nothing to explain the pain.
My question: Has any one else had some sort of lower abdominal/pelvic pain weeks after their surgery? If so do you know what the cause was and how long did it last?
