Hubby's PSA was on the move again. Results from PMSA PET Scan showed 10 Para Aortic lymph nodes. ? Lower pelvic legion

Unable to have further Radiotherapy as too many.

Re starred Bicalutamide and prostap due in a couple of weeks.

Ref to medical oncologists. Probably for Enzalutamide.

Has anyone experience or advice with Enzalutamide.  Hubby otherwise ok medically.

Julie, I think they found cancer in a para aortic lymph node a few years after my salvage RT. A few months later the found cancer in another pelvic lymph node. Earlier this year they found cancer in multiple lymph nodes and I started on bicalutamide followed by decapeptyl injections and apalutamide. The PSA result was less than 0.03 an the last few weeks side effects have dropped to an acceptable level, the fatigue can be an issue some days.

Thanks Chris

Hi ,my OH was diagnosed 10 years ago PSA 23 Gleason 4+5 spread to para aorta nodes . His treatment then was early chemo plus prosap injection. This was followed by a trial inc Enzo and abi combo . His psa came down to undetectable within a few weeks and has stayed the same ever since . The trial has since finished and was concluded that the 2 drugs were no more beneficial than just one of them apart from the toxicity of them . He stopped the Enzo but carried on the abi . He did say that his energy levels were better without the Enzo . Maybe look up the trial ( stampede) . I know treatments have moved on a lot in 10 years so hopefully the drugs they are using now will be better and more tolerant on the body .
Best wishes
