Hi, Kev.
I'm sorry to hear that you're anxious about your PSA result, but welcome to the forum, mate. You'll get lots of help and support here.
PSA tests are only indicators of possible prostate cancer. Even if your PSA is deemed elevated, it can be caused by non-cancerous prostate conditions or UTIs. At 56 years old, yours is borderline.
Is it your first PSA test?
Did your doctor give you a DRE (finger up the bum, examination)?
I'm not medically trained, mate. However, my guess is, that they'll probably just keep an eye on your PSA levels.
I know its easy for me to say dont worry, but honestly, you appear to have little to be anxious about.
The pain in your buttocks is highly unlikely to be prostate cancer linked. However, pain in your rectum, especially when ejaculating, can be caused by non cancerous prostatitis.
Has your doctor refered you to urology or is he monitoring the situation?
Good luck, mate.👍
