My husband has had 7x3 weekly chemo sessions out of 10. He was hospitalised last week with an infection and although he came out after 2 days, he missed session 8. He will not see his consultant for more than 2 weeks and will therefore miss his next chemo session. Being a worrier, I am now panicking and wondering whether it leaves him more vulnerable to the spread of the cancer cells. I am hoping that the consultant is happy to delay the chemo for that length of time. Has anybody got any thoughts/experience of a chemo session delay?
