Hi

I am a 59 year old , who worried abot my prostate as my father had Prostate Cancer

I had my PSA results back and they said 0.3 ug/L

It said that normal are between 0.0-3.5 ug/L

Sorry does this mean mine is 0.3 or 3.0 ug/L ?

Also I my Dr report it said ' PSA Report . satisfactory . need to repeat test . other (1/12)

What does that mean please ?

thank you for any help

Hello, mate

Welcome to the forum.

If your PSA is 3.0, you don't have much to worry about. If your PSA is 0.3 you have 10 times less to worry about.

As your result states 'need to repeat test' my guess is it is 3.0 not 0.3.

Whatever the results, your dad having the disease slightly increases your risk, so I would continue with at least annual checks.

Please keep us updated, and good luck. 👍

Thank you for your warm welcome

I just had a txt from Dr’s

They said the need to repeat was after a blood test they like to do a DRE, so I’m now booked in for that

thanks for your reply

JCB,if it is 0.3 then that should be nothing to worry about. (1/12) means in one month (3/12) means in three months and so on.

Thanks Chris
