New member, 8 weeks post RALP

Hi all, my first post although I've been lurking for a while and getting useful info from many threads on here.  I was diagnosed with a low risk, grade group 1 PC about 3 1/2  years ago and went on active surveillance.  Last year a spike in PSA and subsequent MRI and biopsy showed it had worsened to grade group 3 (my hospital doesn't seem to use Gleason scores) but contained within the prostate.  Treatment was needed and I opted for RALP which was done just over 8 weeks ago.

My recovery has been fairly good, I did feel very knocked about for the first few days, with painful trapped wind, fairly severe constipation etc.  but that soon settled down. Continence was all over the place when the catheter came out and for a few weeks after, but has improved steadily to the point where I feel I can now go without pads most of the time.  Just a few drops occasionally when I sneeze or fart!  I am back to cycling and moderate exercise and generally feeling pretty healthy.

I have yet to have my follow up appointment and despite being told it would be at around the 8 weeks post op (around now) I have just been told it is not until 11 March, around 15 weeks post op!  Not ideal, but I have today received my PSA results ("undetectable") and been able to speak to the urology nurse by phone to get a prescription for PD5 inhibitor and a pump to begin "penile rehab".

I'm grateful that this community exists.  I will probably have lots of questions to ask over the coming weeks and months!
