My dad had a ct scan and findings were mildly enlarged retroperitoneal lymph nodes. At 1.1cm.

In the letter it states in the history of prostate cancer findings are suspicious for metastatic nodal disease.  Consider for MDM urology discussion.

History - prostate cancer June 2021, radiotherapy and hormone injections.  All contained.  Last PSA was April 2025 score 0.01

yesterday he had a PSA test and on his medical app usually available the next day but it states another 4 weeks before available.  I am really worried!

all this other blood results are there from yesterday just not his PSA?

Has anyone been through this?

Should be quarterly PSA this close to treatment, suggest you chase the GP to clarify.

He has not had any treatment for a few years now just PSA tests.

Just received my dad score of 0.02 but the doctor said it might not be a marker for the Mildly enlarged retroperitoneal lymph nodes.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation?

Why is he having CT scans? A psa of 0.02 when he still has a prostate is nothing to be worried about in itself.

Jacqueline, 0.02 is a very low PSA for a man who still has a prostate and allowing for the unreliability of our blood, his PSA could still be 0.01.

I had a pelvic node treated with SABR treatment. . The radiologist said it was a sub 1 cm  but the PSA was 3.6, I would therefore expect an enlarged lymph node might have a PSA higher than 0.02.

Individual lymph nodes can be treated provided they are not too close to organs.

Thanks Chris

He has had really high ferritin for years and he had a colonoscopy ct scan to see if any concerns.  It just came up in the test.  Tesr was really dome as a tick box.

Is it a concern his psa has gone up?  I know it is low but still is it a concern ?

Hi, not quite sure what you mean. My PSA went up  and a scan then found the cancer in the lymph node.

Thanks Chris
