Tight foreskin solution?

So, 8 years cancer free after radiotherapy and 3yrs of hormone treatment- very very luck chap.  Aged 68 now.  The long term side effect is a lack of sex with my wife for a variety of reasons, the key one being my tight foreskin.  It's been this way for years and stops the head of my member get the rubbing stimulation it needs in partnered or solo sex.  As a result, ejaculation (dry) can take ages but is achievable with concentration.  Yes, I know most topics on this site centre around getting an erection, but some of us can manage it but still need help.

By accident, I used Betnovate cream on a damaged finger and it swiftly brought about a repair that was brilliant when everything else had failed. I got to wondering what would it do to my tight foreskin?  Careful application of a tiny amount daily all the way round a retracted foreskin on a soft penis has transformed it's ability to retract when erect.  The effect may be permanent with continued stretching exercises even after I stop using the Betnovate.

Solo sex has improved dramatically: I am quite delighted as you can imagine.  All I need now is somebody to share it with!  NHS Website information: Betnovate is a potent topical corticosteroid containing betamethasone valerate. It is used to reduce inflammation, redness, and itching in various skin conditions.

Solo sex is one of my favorite pass times so this is a real result for me.  Does anybody else use of has used Betnovate?

It’s called

penile lichen sclerosus

thought to be caused by chronic exposure to more urine after prostatectomy

It thins the skin and will not do your missus any favours if you get it on her.

So be careful, why not just get circumsized?

I've heard that it can thin the skin so I am being very careful with it.  It will not get near my missus - not been anywhere near it in years sadly.  You say get circumcised?  You must be joking!  That would be psychological disaster - at 4,25" it's short enough!

Hi I see looking at earlier posts you'd sorted this issue out with E45 which seems a good way to go, so pity it's returned.

I am sorry your wife isn't interested at all in intimacy that seems a great shame . Especially when you've both been through this ordeal and come out the other end so to speak.

Perhaps you could try some sort of therapy or counselling?  I don't think it's inevitable at all that women dislike sex as they age, ( I speak as a much older woman) so perhaps the whole concern with PC has worried her more than she's let on

Two weeks on and applying just the very smallest amount ever other day.  It seems to work really well.  Anybody else got a tight foreskin or is it just me?!

This happened to me a couple of years after the prostatectomy

GP prescribed a mild steroid, I noticed that there was a faint white “ring” around my foreskin and was referred to dermatology

the Consultant diagnosed it (I forget the name of the condition) but she said that a mild steroid used sparingly was nothing to worry about and 6 years later I find it recurs every few months and I just apply a little ointment and hey presto - no more skin tightness

Many thanks indeed.  It sounds like we have had similar tightness experiences and have come up with similar treatments that works. Hope things go well for you...............
