Hi all, I just wanted to share a new-found (for me, anyway) way of managing incontinence.
I've had severe incontinence for the last 12 months since my salvage prostatectomy. Most of that time has been a sorry litany of numerous pads each day and a life of shrinking horizons. Anything else I tried, didn't work.
A few months ago, though, I came across the Men's Liberty external catheter. It stays on for a start and works for up to 48 hours. Suddenly I feel dry all day and can live something resembling a normal life.
I've just returned from a three-week trip Australia with no problems at all when otherwise it would have been very stressful and problematic. The catheters can be bought online (about £10 each but should last two days) and are available on prescription via your consultant.
I'm on the pathway to getting an artificial urinary sphincter fitted but in the meantime, life isn't too bad compared to a few months ago. I hope this helps anyone suffering from heavy leakage.
Good luck everyone
