Sore penis end

Hi 

Had 20 sessions of radiotherapy finished 10 days ago.

Have to wear incontinence pants at the moment as urine flows throughout the day and night.

The end of my penis is very sore due this . Any ideas of how to treat please.

You have my sympathies - I had the same issue when I had a catheter. The Community Nurses brought me an antiseptic gel which worked. I think it was Instillagel. Your local chemist will be able to advise on this.

Peter, good advice from Probbo about the instilagel, it is designed for catheter care so is safe to use in/on the penis. Optilube and hydrocaine are also used for catheter care. They are available without prescription at most chemists except Boots they cost around £2-3 and are worth there weight in gold. 

You might find the additional of a nappy liner helps, Sainsbury's sell them.

According to Google things like sudacrem should not be used around the foreskin and head.
